eeePC & XP: Photo Gallery
Last night I got to sit down with an ultra portable Asus eeePC running Windows XP and take some photos.
Installing Windows on the eeePC is really easy — just pop the CD in and follow the instructions on the screen. You do need to have an external CD or DVD drive, though, because the eeePC doesn’t have any drives built-in.
The Asus eee PC can also run Apple Mac OS or Windows Vista,. It’s a really, really flexible little laptop. It’s the #2 most bestselling laptop on Amazon right now.
The relative I mentioned (Small Laptop For Only $299? Why The EeePC Is Taking The World By Storm…) is extremely satisfied with his eeePC — he’s been showing it off around work, and all his coworkers are jealous.

Also, here’s what the default operating system looks like:

I’m still stunned it’s only $299.
